Short Biography

« Prof. Christelle Nguyen is a clinician scientist at the Faculté de Santé, Université Paris Cité (Paris, France). She is specialized in physical and rehabilitation medicine and rheumatology.
She obtained her MD in 2010 and holds a PhD in cellular biology obtained in 2015. After a 2-year visiting academic position at the Institute For Molecular Bioscience at the University of Queensland (Brisbane, Australia), she joined Prof. François Rannou lab in 2014, then Prof. Frédéric Charbonnier lab in 2019 (INSERM UMR-S 1124). She is also consultant in the department of physical and rehabilitation medicine at Cochin hospital since 2014.
She is currently leading translational research projects aiming at: 1/ better understanding molecular mechanisms involved in intervertebral disc and articular cartilage diseases, using original in vitro and in vivo models, 2/ assessing the efficacy and safety of targeted non-pharmacological interventions in musculoskeletal disorders including osteoarthritis, intervertebral disc diseases and systemic sclerosis, and 3/ developing instruments to measure disability specific to these conditions.
Prof. Christelle Nguyen is author of more than 100 articles in peer-reviewed journals. She has been awarded the Young Investigator Prize from the Bettencourt Schueller Foundation in 2012. «
