BME Seminars: Pr. Clayton ADAM

Friday 12th october, the BME seminars will host a lecture of Clayton ADAM entitled “Trabecular bone nanomechanics”.

Clayton Adam is an Australian researcher from the Queensland University of Technology (Brisbane, Australia).

The conference will take place at Arts & Métiers ParisTech, 151 boulevard de l’Hôpital, 75013 Paris, Amphi Fournel, from 13h30 to 15h00.

Thank you for being punctual.

Abstract :

“Trabecular bone is the lightweight, spongy bone which supports the interior of many bones.

The mechanics of trabecular bone are important because it is thought that microscopic cracks trigger bone remodelling,

which is associated with bone loss in osteoporosis.

This talk will present recent work using nanoindentation to probe the tissue properties of bone at the nanoscale.”
