Seminar announcement flyer

We are very pleased to announce that this week’s OpenYourMind seminar will be given Patrick Tabeling, Director of Research at the CNRS, director of the Institut Pierre-Gilles de Gennes and ESPCI Professor. The seminar will be held this Friday, October 19 between 1:30 pm and 3 pm in Amphi Langevin at ESPCI ParisTech (10 Rue Vauquelin, 75005 Paris - access via entrance/staircase M on left side of ESPCI courtyard, 3rd floor). The seminar topic will be “Meeting research and societal needs - the example of microfluidics”. For more information, please refer to the attached abstract.

For the last decades, innovative companies have considerably contributed to the development of science. There is, in fact, a virtuous circle linking these companies to research, within which both of them nurture themselves. A sort of ecosystem from which many interesting discoveries emerge. In Institute Pierre Gilles de Gennes, an Institute dedicated to the development of microfluidics, we take this virtuous circle as a reference. I will illustrate, for this field,  how research and societal needs can meet, for the benefit of all.
