Seminar announcement flyer

For our next OpenYourMind seminar, we are pleased to announce that Philippe ROUCH, Professor, Director of the Institut de Biomécanique Humaine Georges Charpak will give a talk on "Sport biomechanics: influence of playing surfaces on injury risks". The seminar will be held in this Friday, Ocotber 5 2018 between 1:30 pm and 3 pm in Amphi Bézier at ENSAM ParisTech (151, Boulevard de l’Hopital, 75013 Paris).

Philippe Rouch is Professor and Director of the Institut de Biomécanique Humaine Georges Charpak at Arts et Métiers ParisTech. He graduated from the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan and obtained a PhD in medium vibrations modeling in 2001. During 10 years, he worked at Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan as assistant professor on various research projects as noise in car’s cabin, satellite vibrations and damping or touchscreen. Since 2010, he joined the Laboratoire de Biomécanique at Arts et Métiers ParisTech to develop musculoskeletal models especially for sport biomechanics. By coupling EOS 3D imaging, EMG, motion analysis, these combined models allow to compute performance criteria or injury risks criteria. He’s currently working with the French Federation of golf, soccer, rugby, basketball, ping-pong and with INSEP. He will present one example on the influence of the playing surfaces on the injury risks for soccer or rugby players.
